Food has always been something I
loved but have rarely gotten the time to enjoy. Anytime I go to a restaurant, I
constantly feel rushed by family and friends. For my artist date I decided to
go to a small café near my house to grab a little breakfast before work. The
ambiance in the café was very enjoyable and quite relaxed. There were a few
other people in the café consisting of businessmen and young teenage girls. The
smell from my cafe latte that I ordered was very invigorating and exciting. The
coffee was strong and in my face while the milk was frothy and reminded me of
the colder winter months. I also ordered a giant blueberry muffin that was as
fluffy as a marsh mellow and tasted so heavenly. The blueberries were plump and
tasted like they were freshly picked from the berry trees in Michigan. As I
began to scarf down my muffin, I realized the soft background music in the
café, I believe it was African folk music. I then thought to myself “wow I’m
eating amazing food while listening to great music what more could I ask for.”
Not only was the food 5 stars, the service was impeccable. I usually stray away from popular coffee shops because the line is always out the door and the service is not that great, however this place was the exact opposite. I placed my order and in the speed of light it was piping hot and beautifully displayed out on a crisp porcelain desert tray. I was amazed and awed at the precision of the lovely employees as well as the feeling and gratitude it gave me as a customer. Great customer service goes far and I believe that is what sold me about this café. The experience at this nearby café reminded me why I should spend more time with myself. My thoughts seemed to come clearer when I was at this café. I was not in a rush or bothered by anyone or anything in the café.
Life is always about experiences and what you make of them and I believe this experience has allowed me to rethink my life. I was first a bit hesitant to go out on this artist date, alone, for about two hours. Now looking back, it was a refreshing way to learn more about myself and enjoy a beautiful morning.

The choice of topic has already been creative, which counts a lot in attracting your readers' attention. You have also used various senses to visualize the scene you want to convey in this piece. The customer segmentation of this shop has also been mentioned.
ReplyDeleteThe "funny" part is how you evaluate their service. Speed is important, but it seems not a good idea to emphasize it given the ambiance you've put strong efforts to describe in the first paragraph. What are the other factors that customers in this kind of environment would appreciate?
Overall, this post is in pretty good shape if we want to use it as a draft PR article for this restaurant. Well done!
By the way, I also like your blog title and the cover page.
